Hello!
I'm Melanie Garrity (but you can call me Mel) and I'm a SAHM to a little girl by day and graphic designer by night. My family and I have recently relocated to the burbs of Madison, WI from the Milwaukee burbs to be closer to my husband's job.
Ever since I can remember, I've always loved creating art in any project I could (fancying up a book report, over-the-top poster projects...), but it wasn't until I designed my wedding invitations back in 2013 that I thought I could possibly have a future career in digital design. Two career changes and a few years later, I went back to school for Graphic Design, and here we are!
My approach to design has always been the same: How can I solve the problem in front of me and create a beautiful, functional piece of art along the way? Having the opportunity to create something that is wholly unique in concept and design drives my desire to be better than I was yesterday. With every new creation, I press myself to create something more ambitious and challenging.
My most recent pursuit in the world of design has been branding and starting my own business! I find excitement in the challenge of everything that it brings and I can't wait to launch it (more details to come).
When I'm not creating something new, I love spending time with my little family, traveling (pre-COVID), hiking, water sports in summer and snowboarding in winter, and cooking/baking yummy concoctions when time permits #momlife.
